Battery Cables Built Like the Rest of Your System Depends on Them.
Because it does. Spartan Power builds heavy-duty battery cable for people who would rather do the job right the first time. Our cables use 100% pure copper and are professionally cut, crimped and heat-shrunk for dependable power in demanding DC applications.
From RV battery banks and power inverters to trucks, boats, solar systems, golf carts and welding equipment, Spartan Power cable is made for installations where quality matters.
Real Copper. Real Cable. No Shortcuts.
A battery cable is not the place to save a few dollars with inferior material. Many inexpensive cables use CCA — copper-clad aluminum — instead of a full copper conductor.
Spartan Power uses 100% pure copper. Copper offers excellent conductivity and allows your battery, inverter, charger, starter or other equipment to move power efficiently through the system.
When you're dealing with high-current DC power, the conductor, gauge, connections and workmanship all matter.

Why should I buy pure copper battery cable instead of CCA cable?
Pure copper is a better electrical conductor than aluminum. CCA (copper-clad aluminum) cable substitutes aluminum for much of the conductor in order to reduce cost. For high-current DC applications such as battery banks, power inverters, starters and charging systems, Spartan Power recommends properly sized 100% copper cable.
What is the difference between standard battery cable and welding cable?
Both can work extremely well in DC battery applications. Spartan Power's welding cable uses a fine-stranded conductor and flexible EPDM jacket, making it especially useful when the cable must bend tightly or route through confined spaces.
What can Spartan Power battery cables be used for?
Common applications include automotive battery connections, RV and van electrical systems, power inverters, solar battery banks, golf carts, boats, trucks, fleet equipment, grounding connections, car audio systems, welding equipment and many other low-voltage DC installations.
Are Spartan Power battery cables made in the USA?
Yes. Spartan Power's American-made battery cable products are professionally finished for demanding applications, with Spartan Power cable production and assembly operations based in Reno, Nevada.
Can I get different lengths, gauges or terminal sizes?
Yes. Spartan Power offers a wide range of gauges, lengths, colors and terminal configurations. If you can't find the exact cable you need, call us at (866) 419-2616 and we'll help you find the right solution.
How do I know which battery cable gauge I need?
The proper cable gauge depends on amperage, system voltage, cable length and the equipment being powered. Higher-current applications and longer cable runs generally require larger conductors. When in doubt, consult your equipment manufacturer's recommendations or contact Spartan Power before ordering.
Don't Cheap Out on the Cable.
Your batteries and equipment deserve better than undersized wire and mystery metal. Build it once with 100% copper Spartan Power cable and get the power connection your system was designed for.
